Known as the “Pearl Mosque,” the Moti Masjid inside Agra Fort is a relatively late structure built by Shah Jahan between 1646 and 1653. It is made entirely of white marble and was intended as a private mosque for royal use. Set upon a high plinth and facing east-west, the mosque features a spacious courtyard and a prayer hall with several domes. Its understated elegance and pure whiteness give it a serene and devotional ambience, distinct from the more ostentatious halls of audience nearby.
