Kerala Nature Tour – 14 Days

Overview

This itinerary offers a wide-ranging journey through the landscapes and cultural layers of southern India, beginning in the historic port city of Cochin. Here, centuries of maritime trade have left an enduring imprint on architecture, cuisine, and daily life, setting the tone for a trip that weaves together heritage and natural beauty. Travellers then continue into the cool highlands of Wagamon, where rolling meadows, spice plantations, and monastic retreats create an atmosphere of calm, followed by a shift to the coast for time on the striking cliffs and beaches of Varkala.

The southernmost point of mainland India, Kanyakumari, introduces powerful seascapes and a sense of geographic significance, complemented by visits to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the exquisitely crafted Padmanabhapuram Palace. From there, the experience moves gently into Kerala’s famous backwaters for an overnight houseboat cruise, offering an intimate look at village life along narrow canals and serene lakes. A stop in Guruvayur adds a glimpse into the region’s vibrant pilgrimage traditions and temple culture.

The final stretch unfolds in the forested hills of Wayanad, where treks, waterfalls, plantation visits, and encounters with Indigenous communities reveal another facet of Kerala’s diversity.
